SPECIAL MEETING HELD BY THE TOWN COMMISSION FOR THE TOWN OF OCEAN RIDGE, FLORIDA, TO BE HELD IN THE TOWN HALL ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2001, AT 8:00 A.M.

The meeting was called to order and roll call was answered by the following:

ACTIONS AND REPORTS

1. EXECUTIVE SESSION Discuss Settlement Negotiations or Strategy Related to Litigation Expenditures in the case of ORLANDO & LILIANE SIVITILLI v. TOWN OF OCEAN RIDGE ET AL – CASE NO. CL00-9865AG

IT IS TO BE NOTED THAT ITEM 1 IS THE SUBJECT OF AN ATTORNEY-CLIENT SESSION AS PROVIDED IN 286.011(8), FLORIDA STATUTES; THOSE ATTENDING SHALL INCLUDE THE TOWN COMMISSIONERS, TOWN MANAGER AND THE TOWN ATTORNEY

Mayor Kaleel declared that the meeting would now recess for the executive session.

Mayor Kaleel recessed the meeting at approximately 8:05 AM and reconvened at approximately 8:50 AM.

Atty Spillias provided a brief summary on pending/ongoing litigation. He commented that the trial for the Olanoff/Kelso case was set for Dec. 17, 2001. He added that the Town Manager and Town Clerk have each been given a subpoena and the Commissioners may be called to testify.

Regarding a new suit filed by Richard Lucibella and the Beachway North Homeowners Assoc. Atty Spillias advised that the case has been turned over to the Florida League of Cities whose attorney has already filed a motion to dismiss.

On an unrelated topic, Comm Bridges asked if the town had requested that when the County removed the Australian pine trees from the Corrine St. Park whether they would replaced with Osprey Stands. Mayor Kaleel commented that the town has been involved with the plans and suggested that the Town Manager to have the County provide an update.
