SPECIAL MEETING HELD BY THE TOWN COMMISSION FOR THE TOWN OF OCEAN RIDGE, FLORIDA, IN THE TOWN HALL ON     WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2002, AT 8:00 A.M.

           The meeting was called to order and roll call was answered by the following:

                         Commissioner Aaskov              Commissioner Schulte

                        Commissioner Bingham             Commissioner Willens              

Mayor Kaleel

 ACTIONS AND REPORTS

1.         Discuss Candidate Short List and Interview Date for Town Manager Position  

 Mayor Kaleel commented that Town Clerk Hancsak had prepared a memorandum summarizing the candidate voting.  He stated that the top three candidates receiving three or more votes included; Henry Dunn (3), Frank Spence (3), and Kathleen Dailey (4)) and questioned whether the interviews should be expanded and with whom.

 After a brief discussion the Commission all agreed to also interview Sam Shannon, George McMahon, and Paul Castro.

The Commission agreed that each candidate would be responsible for their own travel expenses and expressed that the interviews be scheduled for the early part of next week, preferably Monday, May 20, 2002 beginning at 3:30 PM .  The meeting would begin at 3:00 PM to allow for preparation time among the Commissioners.  They also concurred that a second interview with the first and second choice should be held between May 28th – 30th.

The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:30 A.M.
