Special Town Commission Meeting of the Town of Ocean Ridge held on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 8:00 AM in the Town Hall Meeting Chambers  

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Kaleel and roll call was answered by the following:  

            Commissioner Allison                           Commissioner Bingham 
                      
Commissioner Pugh                                          Commissioner Schulte

Actions and Reports  

1.         Resolution No. 2004-21; Declaring a State of Emergency within the Town of Ocean Ridge  

Comm Pugh moved to approve Resolution No. 2004-21, Declaring a State of Emergency within the Town of Ocean Ridge, seconded by Comm Schulte.  

Motion carried - yea 5.  

Town Manager Mathis requested that the administrative offices be closed at 12 PM and remain closed throughout the duration of the storm.  

Comm Bingham moved to close the administrative offices as early as possible and remain closed during the storm, seconded by Comm Allison.  

Motion carried - yea 5.  

Mayor Kaleel questioned how long residents will be able to evacuate the Island . Officer Wohlfiel stated that the residents will not be prevented from leaving the Island and that the bridges will be in a locked down position during the storm.
