Subject: Summary of Actions Taken in June 11, 2007
Mayor and Town Commissioners: The following list is actions taken by the Commission at May meeting/s:
1. Approved the minutes for Regular Meeting of 5/7/07 with several minor amendments approved by Commission 2. Confirmed hiring of Brandi Gonsman to replace Judy Cruickshank 3. Adopted Resolution No. 2007-09; Authorizing the Execution of the Federally Funded Subgrant Agreement and subsequent documents for the grant to assist the hardening of the new building with the Division of Emergency Management 4. Adopted Resolution No. 2007-10; Providing for the mechanism of reserving funds for encumbrances each fiscal year 5. Directed staff to investigate motorcycle noise/speed complaints and possible solutions 6. Directed staff to review parking enforcement issues and possible parking permits for south end streets 7. Tabled approval of obstruction of Thompson ROW for 62 Harbour Drive No. until the July meeting to provide opportunity for resident/neighbor to come to possible agreement and provide photos and survey accurately depicting encroachment 8. Staff to investigate silt from Hibiscus outfall pipe 9. Authorized transfer of $50,000 from Contingency to Special Counsel Legal Acct for anticipated Briny Breezes related costs 10. Approved 90 day extension for completion of OR Yacht Club Linear Park 11. Approved Additional Two Sentences Added to 1(B) of the Agenda regarding grievance procedure suggestion 12. Authorized Payment of $46,379.19 to Digby Bridges, Marsh & Assoc. to Reimburse for Subcontractor Costs from Town Hall Reserve Acct 13. Authorized Dawn/Dusk Work in Nov. 2007 for Dredge Work Related to the Sand Transfer Area, Boat Club Channel and ICWW Navigation Channel 14. Staff to further investigate product used for NoSeeum Spraying 15. Staff to contact Ron Klein’s Office regarding obtaining the Town’s own zip code and No Wake Zones through the Town limits 16. Directed staff to review possible costs to house EMS/Fire Apparatus within the Town |
