Subject:      Summary of Actions Taken in July 9, 2007

 

Mayor and Town Commissioners:

The following list is actions taken by the Commission at May meeting/s:

 

1.         Approved the minutes for Regular Meeting of 6/11/07    

2.         Approved Resolution No. 2007-11; Adopting the EAR Report with two minor revisions (adding Briny Breezes to verbiage on Page 29 and adding the Ocean Ridge Natural Area to Page 19)  

3.         Scheduled Meeting for July 16, 2007 at 4PM to continue discussion and action pertaining to the approval of the health insurance, approval of contract for the new Town Hall/Police Complex with BSA Corp. and discuss financing of new facility with Bank of America

4.         Approved request to place the utilities on Old Ocean Blvd. between Anna St. and Corrine St. underground in the Town’s ROW at no cost to the Town provided vegetation is removed from the ROW      

5.         Approved settlement agreement with James Bonfiglio re: encroachment on the Woolbright Detention Area (with one minor revision)

6.         Confirmed FY 2007/08 budget meeting on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 8:30 AM to review budget and set proposed millage rate            

7.         Tabled approval of obstruction of Thompson ROW for 62 Harbour Drive No. until the July meeting to provide opportunity for resident/neighbor to come to possible agreement and provide photos and survey accurately depicting encroachment       

8.         Commissioners were encouraged to contact Atty Spillias individually regarding any questions pertaining to Briny Breezes

9.         Commission encouraged residents on Harbour Drive North and South to check the drains for debris during rainy weekends when maintenance staff is not available
