Subject:      Summary of Actions Taken at July 16 and 26, 2007 and the August 6, 2007 Meetings

 

Mayor and Town Commissioners:

The following list is actions taken by the Commission at the meeting/s:

 

1.         Approved the new health insurance for employees with Blue Cross Blue Shield in an HRA program and funding both calendar year deductibles    

2.         Approved the contract with BSA Corp. for the construction of the new Town Hall/Police Facility in an amount of $3,865,739   

3.         Reviewed the FY 2007/08 Proposed Budget and set proposed millage at 4.7500 with a 4/1 vote and the Commission made several initial changes thereby reducing the reserve to balance the budget by $50,471

4.         Approved the minutes as presented for the July 9, 16 and 26th meetings       

5.         Proclaimed August 6-10, 2007 as Florida Water, Wastewater, and Systems Operators Week

6.         Directed the Zoning Official to measure the generator distance from the lot line at 5 Coconut Lane to determine if it is a minimum of 5’ and the Town Attorney to review the ordinance to see if there is a provision to permit the Commission to over ride any decision that meets the code            

7.         Approved a loan of $4 million draw down using the SWAP option and adopted Resolution No. 2007-12 contingent on attorney approval for the new Town Hall/Police Complex        

8.         Approved Chaz Equipment to complete $64,450 in drainage improvements to Harbour Drive South
