Subject:      Summary of Actions Taken at March 3, 2008 Regular Town Commission Meeting

 

Mayor and Town Commissioners:

The following list is actions taken by the Commission at the meeting/s:

 

1.         Approved the minutes of Feb. 4, and Feb. 15th, 2008 meetings

2.         Appointed Bruce Gimmy, Gail Aaskov, and Mark Hanna as regular members and Jeff Lee and Eric Kramer as alternates to the Board of Adjustment      

3.         Appointed Mark Marsh, Gerald Goray and Jim Bonfiglio as regular members and Dr. Richard Bajakian and Penny Kosinski as alternates to the Planning & Zoning Commission                

4.         Approved Landscape Maintenance Contract with Chris Wayne and Assoc.     

5.         Directed Town Manager to further review Inlet Cay Island drainage improvements with possible alternative bidding and to provide an estimate of funding needed from reserves for upcoming major capital projects  

6.         Authorized staff and Commissioner Allison to draft a personnel manual

7.         Appointed Kenneth Kaleel as Mayor through Feb. 2009

8.         Appointed Betty Bingham as Vice Mayor through Feb. 2009

9.         Reauthorized Bank Depositories and Town Clerk and Deputy Town Clerk to sign checks with a counter signature from any one of the Commissioners

10.       Proposed Ocean Ave. Landscaping postponed until further review by the Garden Club Beautification Committee and Town Manager

11.       Staff to investigate landscape erosion and swale in detention area
