Subject:      Summary of Actions Taken at April 7, 2008 Regular Town Commission Meeting

 

Mayor and Town Commissioners:

The following list is actions taken by the Commission at the meeting/s:

 

1.         Approved the minutes of March 3, 2008 meetings with a minor change relating to the pre-existing Garden Club Beautification Committee  

2.         Proclaimed April as “Water Conservation Month” and Fair Housing Month”      

3.         Announced an Attorney/Client Meeting concerning Cory Heith, etc. vs Town to be held April 16, 2008 at 8:30 AM                 

4.         Approved Software License Agreement with Diverse Computing Inc. for the installation of laptop computers in the patrol vehicles     

5.         Approved Resolution No 2008-07 providing for an Interlocal Agreement with Tallahassee Community College PD and the ORPD to utilize the computer terminals for access to the National and Florida Crime Information Centers for Law Enforcement Purposes  

6.         Approved Resolution No 2008-08 providing for Interlocal Agreement between PBCty and the Town so that the Cty will provide comprehensive radio repair services and charge for same (change of vendor)

7.         Approved $40,000 Payment from Capital Projects Fund to Turtle Beach Condominium to house the portable generator for the pumps on Tropical Dr

8.         Authorized Maximum $6,200 from Beautification Acct to trim the Calophyllum trees on Ocean Ave. and requested copies of original FDOT landscaping plan and subsequent proposal for changes

9.         Directed P & Z to review exotic vegetation removal on dunes

10.       Approved Ordinance 577 on first reading concerning dune vegetation

11.       Approved $500 from Contingency Acct to reserve table for Mayor Kaleel’s installation as President of PBC League of Cities

12.       Consensus to hold contest to develop new Town Logo with submittals by July 1, 2008
