Water Restrictions:
Year-round water
conservation measures went into effect this week for
South Florida and here are the guidelines for landscape
irrigation for Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie
counties, as well as in the Glades:
• Those with
odd-numbered street address can water lawns and
landscapes on Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Saturdays, only
before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m.
• Those with an
even-numbered street address, no street address or those
that irrigate both even and odd addresses within the
same zones, which may include multi-family units and
homeowners associations, may water lawns and landscapes
on Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Sundays, only before 10
a.m. or after 4 p.m.
Applies to All
• No irrigation,
except as noted below, on any day between 10 a.m. and 4
p.m.
• Irrigation using
reclaimed water, rain harvesting systems and other
low-volume methods — such as micro-irrigation, container
watering and hand watering with a hose and automatic
shut-off nozzle — is allowed at any time.
• Additional
watering days are allowed following the installation of
new lawns and landscaping for up to 90 days.

To our Ocean Ridge Residents:
We received a
letter today which concerned me and I felt it needed some clarification.
A resident was concerned when he/she saw Town staff repairing Commissioner
Allison's mailbox. The concern was that staff was giving Commissioner
Allison special treatment during work hours. The Staff was repairing
the mailbox because a police officer accidentally backed into it and damaged
the mailbox. As the damage was our fault it was our responsibility to
make the repairs. We would do this for any resident.
The main thing that concerned me about the letter was
that the individual said they didn't sign it for "fear of retribution".
I want to assure all the residents that nothing like that would ever occur.
If someone has a concern we want you to let us know regardless of what it
is. That way we can explain to you what is occurring and if necessary
take action to correct a problem if it exists. We would never hold it
against someone for bringing it to our attention. Please feel free to
call me anytime at 561-732-2635. Thank you for your concerns and
support.
Sincerely,
Kenneth N. Schenck, Jr.

We will need access to enter private property and therefore need

we do not hear from you we will assume that you do not want spraying
done on your property. The once-a-week spraying will begin on June
