2/27/13 Boil Water Notice Update: *Boil water has been lifted as of 1:10pm.* An emergency boil water notice has been issued for 5 home, 101, 104-110 Bonito Drive, due to work being done by the Town's contractor. 12/21/12 Crossover Repair Permitting Extension: The deadline for issuing permits for crossover and dune repairs without waiting for the State to approval has been extended until January 27, 2013.  After this date, you will need to contact FDEP for a permit prior to submitting a permit to the Town. 10/15/12 Lost/Missing Cat - Update 10/19/12 - Echo has been found and is now home safe.
10/9/12 Boil Water Alert: An emergency boil water order was issued yesterday, Monday, October 8 affecting 37 homes on Sabal Island Drive. The event began around noon with restoration of water service occurring at 4:30pm. These residents have been advised to boil their water until further notice. 4/30/12 Boynton Inlet Bridge Work Restrictions: The A1A Bridge, over the Boynton Inlet, will be reduced to one lane of traffic, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday, April 30, through Thursday, May 3, for bridge painting operations (weather permitting). Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic, and sidewalks may be closed during this time. Please use caution through this area.
4/30/12 Lost Dog: “Fletch” is a one-year old, male Chihuahua that has been missing since Saturday. 04/5/12 A1A Road Closure in Palm Beach
South Ocean Blvd (A1A) in Palm Beach will be closed to traffic between Southern Blvd. and Sloan’s Curve. This closure is due to  the replacement of an aging force main infrastructure between Phipps Ocean Park and Island Road.  Construction is scheduled to begin April 9 and will be completed by December 15, 2012. However, it appears that the road closure will be from April 9 to August 9. Questions should be directed to the project engineer, Jeffrey Sanon at 838-5440.

The 2012 Municipal Election for the Town of Ocean Ridge will be held on March 13, 2012 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for two Commissioners for a three year term. 

Registered voters are qualified to vote in this election. To vote in this election, please register to vote prior to Feb. 13.

Candidates must be a voter of the Town. The filing period is from Friday, February 3, 2012 through 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012.

The water has been turned off and will remain off until about 3pm due to water main break.  There will be a boil water order when the water returns.  A notice with more information will be located at your front door.  If you have any questions, please contact Steven Evans, Boynton's Water Quality Supervisor at 561-742-6964 or town hall at 561-732-2635.  Thank you.

Water is back on as of 2:15pm.

We are missing two cats from Dolphin Road, Ocean Ridge FL.  They were last seen on Tuesday, November 8th. They are both male and have been neutered.

The black tabby cat is called Oliver/Ollie and the orange/white long haired Maine coon cat is called Bailey.  Neither are wearing a collar.

6/11 Invitation to Bid for Noseeum Spraying Services
The Town of Ocean Ridge, Florida is accepting bids for the spraying of noseeums within the Town limits from qualified licensed companies.  Spraying will be done weekly right before the weekend.   All spraying will be done on foot utilizing a backpack and none by truck.  Spraying will be for 12 months beginning October 1, 2011.  Natural pyrethrin pesticide products are specified, for use in conjunction with suitable registered insecticides for residual control, as needed.  The product(s) specified in the bidder's proposal shall be indentified and a copy of the product specimen label provided to substantiate residual claims.  The areas to be sprayed are, in general, the edge of the mangroves and the adjoining front and backyards where approved by the homeowner.  The spraying areas are approximately 43,500 linear feet.  Any questions must be submitted to Ken Schenck, Town Manager, at 561-732-2635.  Ocean Ridge is an equal opportunity employer.  The Town reserves the right to reject all bids if it is in the best interest of the Town.  Maps may be obtained at Town Hall which delineates the areas to be sprayed.  Interested contractors should submit 3 copies of the bid.  Bids must be sealed with "Noseeum Spraying Bid" on the envelope.  Experience in the spraying for noseeums must be included and is required.  All required submittals should be directed to: Town Clerk, Town of Ocean Ridge, 6450 N. "Palm Tran is currently updating its Transit Development Plan that will guide planning, development, and operations for the next ten years, and has asked Kittleson & Associates, Inc. to lead the TDP consultant team.  The TDP is important for securing Palm Tran's funding and for outlining future changes to Palm Tran service.  Public involvement is a key component in developing a TDP.  Therefore, Palm Tran will be hosting three open houses at Palm Beach County Branch Libraries."

Even-numbered street addresses, no street addresses or irrigate both even and odd address within the same zones, including multi-family units and homeowners associations, may water lawns and landscapes on Thursdays and Sundays from 12am to 10am and/or from 4pm to 11:59pm.

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids, in triplicate, will be received by the Town of Ocean Ridge located at 6450 North Ocean Boulevard, Ocean Ridge, FL  33435 (Phone 561-734-5650) for the subject Project until 11:00 AM, local time, April 19, 2011, then opened. 

The Owner for the Project is the Town of Ocean Ridge.

The Engineer for the Project is Engenuity Group, Inc., 1201 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach, FL  33405.  All Contract and Technical inquiries should be directed to Michael Hanseter, PE, at the Engineer’s Offices and whose phone number is (561) 655-1151, and fax number is (561) 832-9390.

The project is generally described as follows:  Install drainage pump station, pipe, structures, generator, and a pollution control device along with associated pavement and site restoration on Coconut Lane in the Town of Ocean Ridge.

Contract Documents may be purchased beginning at 9:00 am on March 21, 2011 from Engenuity Group, Inc. located at 1201 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405 (Phone 561-655-1151) at the following prices, which are non-refundable:

            Project Manual and Drawings:  $80.00

Packaging & Mailing Charges:  $10.00   

            This Contract is a unit price contract.

 A person or affiliate who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a Bid on a Contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not be awarded or perform Work as a Contractor, Supplier, Subcontractor, or Consultant under a Contract with any public entity, and may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, Florida Statutes, for Category two for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the scheduled closing date for the receipt of Bid except as otherwise provided in the Instruction to Bidders.

The successful bidder, who is awarded the Contract, shall be required to furnish a 100% Construction Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
