No-see-um Spraying The following insecticides are those being used for the spraying of the no-see-ums. All insecticides being used have been approved by the EPA, Florida Dept. of Agriculture, and the State Dept. of Environmental Protection. The concentration used for spraying is up to 0.5% of active ingredient with a water carrier. The volume of the diluted insecticide applied is approximately eight gallons per linear mile.
