Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse - (AVDA)

Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse
Certified Domestic Violence Center

Website: www.avdaonline.org

HOTLINE:
AVDA operates a 24 hour/365 day a year confidential hotline. The hotline is staffed by advocates trained in crisis counseling, safety planning and providing community referrals. AVDA responds to victims of domestic violence by providing immediate assistance and arrangements for counseling, legal advocacy and emergency shelter service. On occasion, South Palm Beach County Police agencies contact AVDA’s hotline to provide telephone counseling and advocacy to victims while on the scene of the incident. Advocates on the hotline contact survivors of domestic violence listed on police reports submitted to AVDA by local law enforcement agencies to offer immediate support and access to services.
