2021 Municipal Election Information
The Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, for the purpose of electing two (2) at-large Town Commissioners for three-year (3-year) terms.
The seats that are up for re-election:
Kristine de Haseth, Mayor
Phil Besler, Commissioner
Candidates Qualifying Dates:
Qualifying Period is now closed. Candidates qualifying dates were from 8:30 a.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020 through 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020.
Qualified Candidates Appearing on the Ballot are: Carolyn Cassidy, Kristine de Haseth, John Kramer, and Geoff Pugh. / Las Elecciones Municipales Anuales se celebrarán el 9 de marzo de 2021. Voting Options for Residents:
a. In Person. Residents may vote on Election Day, March 9, 2021 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the
Ocean Ridge Town Hall (6450 N. Ocean Blvd., Ocean Ridge, FL 33435).
b. Vote by Mail. Residents may request a vote by mail ballot through the Palm Beach County

The League of Women Voters and the Town of Ocean Ridge have partnered up to provide the Ocean Ridge residents a chance to get to the know the candidates. There will be a virtual Commissioner Candidates forum on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The virtual candidates forum will feature all qualified candidates.

Persons may submit questions for the moderator to consider asking the candidates until February 11, 2021 at 3:00 P.M by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Residents will have the opportunity to vote for up to two candidates on their ballots. The two candidates receiving the highest and second highest number of votes in the election shall be elected to serve.
Residents vote on Commissioners and at the first Town Commission meeting after elections, the Commission selects, from among its members, by a majority vote, a Mayor and a Vice Mayor.
